Temaki sushi with avocado and trout - a large cone-shaped sushi in which the nori leaf is located on the outside, and all the ingredients stick out from the wide end. In Japan, this species is called temakizushi, it is eaten by hand; in our latitudes, the name temaki (temaki) is more common. Usually temakizushi is 10 centimeters long. They are convenient, as you can eat right on the go, a kind of Japanese fast food.

You first wondered how to make sushi at home? Then the recipe is just for you, because to cook this variety you don’t need a makis rug, and even a child will be able to roll a bag of seaweed. Those who have not yet mastered the skills of eating sushi with chopsticks will also like temaki sushi with avocado and trout.

Ingredients for temaki sushi with avocado and trout

  • 220 g round rice for sushi;
  • 15 ml rice vinegar;
  • 10 g of granulated sugar;
  • 5 g of sea salt;
  • 2 sheets of nori;
  • 1 avocado;
  • 150 g of salted trout;
  • 8 feathers of green onions;
  • 20 g Wasabi sauce;
  • lemon - 1 2 pcs.

Method for making temaki sushi with avocado and trout

Rice for sushi is called sumeshi, it is not some special kind of rice, but white fine-grained rice mixed with marinade.

First you need to cook it properly. We rinse the cereal with cold water several times, until the water is completely transparent. We recline on a sieve, let it drain to water. We put the washed rice in a pan with a thick bottom, pour 200 ml of cold water.

After boiling, reduce the heat, cook, tightly closing the lid for about 10 minutes, then leave to steam for another 15 minutes.

We prepare marinade from water, rice vinegar, granulated sugar and sea salt. Pour 3-4 tablespoons of cold boiled water into a bowl, add granulated sugar and sea salt, mix, try, it is important that you like the taste!

When the rice has cooled to room temperature, mix it with marinade and you can start cooking temaki.

We cut the avocado in half, peel it, remove the bone.

Cut the flesh of the avocado into thin strips, sprinkle with lemon juice so that the flesh does not oxidize in the air.

Sheets of nori are cut in half along the long side. Two sheets of nori are enough to prepare four servings.

On a half sheet of algae, put a tablespoon with a slide of rice, with your fingers dipped in water, level it so that half of the nori sheet is filled. You can especially not try, since the shape of the cone can be different.

Grease rice with wasabi sauce. If you like the sharp taste of this sauce, then you can put more.

Before you add the filling to temaki, you should divide the filling evenly into portions.

We put trout cut into cubes from the edge.

Then add the avocado slices.

Cut a few feathers of green onions in size, put next to the avocado and fish.

We turn the cone, moisten the edge of the nori with cold water so that it sticks well.

Immediately serve temakizushi to the table, pour a little soy sauce into the cone or add an additional small spoon of Wasabi.
